Faith Q&A

🕵️‍♀️ Frequently Asked Questions

Your investigation has led you here. These are the questions many detectives-in-training ask. Follow the clues, examine the facts, and let the evidence speak for itself.

🕵️ Q1: What if I don’t believe in God?
A: That’s okay—many great investigators start with skepticism. We simply invite you to follow the evidence. You don’t need blind faith, just an open mind and a willingness to explore the clues.

🧭 Q2: Isn’t faith just a crutch for the weak?
A: Actually, faith in God has historically driven bold acts of courage, science, social reform, and innovation. (E.g., science, math, art, music, law, government, etc.) Christianity didn’t stifle reason—it inspired it.

📜 Q3: Isn’t the Bible full of contradictions?
A: While some passages may appear confusing at first glance, deeper study reveals harmony. Most “contradictions” are easily explained by context, language, or genre.

👀 Q4: How do we know Jesus really rose from the dead?
A: The resurrection is supported by early eyewitness testimony, enemy admissions, empty tomb evidence, radical transformation of the disciples, and over 500 eyewitnesses recorded in 1 Corinthians 15.

💡 Q5: Isn’t science opposed to faith?
A: Not at all. True science seeks truth—and so does Christianity. Many of history’s greatest scientists were devout believers who saw their work as uncovering God’s design.

🔍 Q6: Doesn’t suffering disprove a good God?
A: Pain points to something being wrong—and Christianity offers the clearest explanation and solution. God didn’t ignore suffering—He entered into it and overcame it through Christ.

🧠 Q7: Has Christianity really shaped the world for good?
A: Yes. The majority of the fathers of modern science, hospitals, universities, human rights, and charity were Christians. From literacy to law, Christianity’s positive impact is everywhere.

📖 Q8: Hasn’t the Bible been changed over time?
A: While copyist variations exist (e.g., grammar, spelling, word order), they don’t affect any core doctrinal truths. The Bible we have today is over 99% textually accurate with thousands of manuscripts to verify it.

😈 Q9: If God is real, why is the world so broken?
A: Because of mankind’s sin—and a spiritual enemy (the devil) who comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). God gave humanity free will, but He also provided a path to healing, restoration, and victory through Jesus.

📚 Q10: Isn’t Christianity just a copy of other myths?
A: Unlike myths, Christianity is rooted in real people, places, and history—confirmed by archaeology, science, and multiple disciplines (including physics, medicine, and mathematics), as well as hundreds of eyewitness accounts.

🕊️ Q11: Can I be saved if I have doubts?
A: Absolutely. Doubt isn’t the opposite of faith—unbelief is. Many believers start with honest questions that ultimately deepen their trust. God looks at the heart, and even a mustard seed of faith is enough for Him to move (Mark 9:24, Matthew 17:20).

🛠️ Q12: Is faith blind?
A: No. Biblical faith is trust based on evidence. Hebrews 11:1 says faith is being “certain of what we do not see”—not ignorant of the clues, but confident in them.

✝️ Q13: Aren’t all religions basically the same?
A: While many religions offer good moral teachings, only Jesus claimed to be God, proved it with miracles, and solved mankind’s greatest problem—sin and death—through His death and resurrection.

🌍 Q14: What about those who’ve never heard of Jesus?
A: God is just and merciful. He promises that those who seek Him will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). God judges each person fairly based on the light they’ve received—but the gospel is His clearest message of salvation.

📕 Q15: Wasn’t the Bible written by men?
A: Yes, but under divine inspiration (2 Timothy 3:16). It was penned by over 40 authors across 1,500 years, in 3 continents and languages—yet shares 1 unified message: God’s redemptive plan through Jesus Christ.

🧬 Q16: Why do I even need to be saved?
A: Every person is born infected with a spiritual and biological condition—SIN-666—a deadly, dark disease from the Fall (Genesis 3) that separates us from a holy God. Jesus is the only cure: the one who forgives, heals, and restores our relationship with God.

📅 Q17: Why did Jesus come when He did?
A: Galatians 4:4 says He came in the “fullness of time.” Historically, the Roman Empire enabled mass communication, safe travel, and a universal language—making it the perfect time for the gospel to spread.

🧭 Q18: Why doesn’t God just prove Himself to everyone?
A: Because He desires relationship, not robots. God gives enough evidence to convince the willing—but not so much that it removes the need for faith. He honors those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

📜 Q19: Isn’t the Bible outdated for today’s culture?
A: Truth doesn’t expire. The Bible’s moral, spiritual, and relational wisdom has stood the test of time—and continues to change lives today. God’s truth is timeless, not trendy.

💬 Q20: I’m still not sure. What should I do?
A: Keep asking. Keep exploring. Doubt your doubts. Truth invites scrutiny—and we’re here to help. Investigate fully… and don’t stop until you’ve reached a verdict for yourself.

The $1 Million Dollar Question:

Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test:
Q. Have you ever told a lie?
Q. Have you ever stolen anything?
Q. Have you ever used God’s name in vain?
Q. Have you ever lusted over someone?
Q. Have you ever hated someone?

If you have done these things, God sees you as a liar, a thief, a blasphemer, an adulterer-at-heart, and a murderer-at-heart. And this is only 5 of God’s Ten Commandments (a/k/a “God’s Law”). And the Bible warns that on the Day of Judgment, God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But, there is “good news”! God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law, but Jesus paid their fine by shedding His sinless blood on a cross ~2,000 years ago. This means that God can legally dismiss their case (and yours!): “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent (turn away from your sins), put your complete trust in Jesus, and confess Jesus as your Lord & Savior… and God will give you eternal life as a free gift.

The $1 Million Dollar Myth:

Contrary to popular belief, being a “good person”, doing “good deeds”, or being “religious” will not get you a ticket to heaven! Many people are hoping God will dismiss their sins because their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds. They further hope that because God is “good” he will let them go unpunished and enter heaven. However, because God is “good” he must by nature punish sinners (i.e., God would not be a good judge if he let criminals go free). The Bible states: “There is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.” (Ecclesiastes 7:20) The Bible also states: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) And finally, think about this, if your goodness could save you, Jesus would have died in vain (i.e., for no good reason). The Bible states: “I (Jesus) am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father (God) except through me. (John
14:6) Friends, please don’t “roll-the-dice” and gamble your eternal life on the life-threatening lie that being a “good person” will get you to heaven.

Yes, today I am deciding to follow Jesus:

Here is a prayer you can use to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord & Savior. It is a suggested prayer – the key is that you are speaking from your heart.
“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me turn away from sin going forward. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus into my heart and I confess him as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for sending your Holy Spirit to help me obey you, and to do your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

Congratulations! And welcome to God’s family!
